The festival opens at 1700 on Friday 15th and ends at 1500 on Sunday 17th June 2018. However, you are welcome to arrive from 2pm, with orientation tours and nature connection activities such as Earth Treks, Forage Walks and Sit Spots on offer.
Festival Tickets are £110pp for the weekend including full catering and access to all programmed events. Accommodation is an additional cost, ranging from £20 pp for weekend camping, through to £35 pp for the weekend for same gender dormitory rooms, up to £100 for 2 people sharing a double or twin room.
We'll provide full catering over the weekend from supper on Friday evening through to Sunday lunch, with plenty of refreshments to keep you going. Breakfast will be a buffet of cereal, toast, yoghurt and fruit, and other meals will be communal, vegetarian, and sourced from delicious local produce. There will be a pop up tavern on site in the evenings which will have a cash bar, offering some fantastic local ales and other staples. Delegates are otherwise asked not to bring or consume alcohol on site.
Food & Drink:
You can find out more about Ringsfield Hall EcoActivity Centre here, with pictures of the Hall here and the Grounds and outbuildings here. The Centre exists as a resource to the community and 'reconnection'. Roots & Branches festival is a collaborative effort, but the team at the Hall are really pleased to host you and hope you have a wonderful stay. We will appreciate your help in making the event as sustainable as possible as we deal with waste and recycling.
The Hall & Grounds
Unfortunately there are no direct public transport links to the Centre. Beccles is the nearest train station, only a 10 minute drive away. Taxis are approximately £10 door to door - we may be able to help you organise taxi or lift shares amongst delegates to save costs. Otherwise, driving here is quite straightforward, and we would certainly encourage car sharing. See the Google map below for directions.
We hope you will experience a friendly inspiring weekend with talks, workshops and activities, along with great food, music, campfires and a couple of surprises. Please come ready to participate and make the most out of the weekend as possible: the more you engage, the more you will get out of the experience. We're keen for those who dream and scheme of community projects to share and inspire each other.
