Schools are welcome to use the tranquil surroundings for their own retreat programme, or we are happy to devise a programme to meet your needs. There is a great deal of scope for this both with personnel (Rev. Dr. Chris Walton & Dr. Ross Ashley have theological training as well as many years of experience of retreats and religious education),.and within the grounds, which as well as 14 acres varied terrain, include a small quiet room or chapel, a hermitage, a Quiet garden, an art barn, and a labyrinth for activities and sessions on reflection, stillness, solitude, and for considering connection with self, others and the earth in line with the standards for R.E.. Thus enabling children to develop their knowledge and understanding of, and their ability to respond to Christianity and the other principal religions represented in Great Britain.
